Abstract

This research project focuses on: Urban Micro-Histories: History of the Drinking Water Supply System in the city of Lichinga (1995-2019). It is important to highlight that water is essential in all human activities: food, hygiene, transportation, leisure, industrial, commercial and agricultural processes, which require this water resource in varying quality and quantity. It is also important to emphasize that water extracted from rivers or groundwater, after treatment, supplies homes, hospitals, schools, industries, etc., and the problem of drinking water supply is one of the most discussed issues today, causing concern among nations worldwide.
